Puppy Kindergarten

Socialization and puppy-raising issues are the main goals for this class. Basic Obedience and Manners will be introduced as well.

Details

PK is for dogs 2-5 months old

Price is $160 for 8 weeks

First session is for people only (no dogs)

Curriculum

  • Socialization: People, Place, Dogs, Smells, Sounds, Textures, Objects, etc.
  • Puppy-Raising Issues: Puppy-proofing, House Training, Mouthing, Chewing, etc.
  • Topics: Safety, Nutrition, Grooming, etc.
  • Basic Obedience Intro: Sit, Down, Come, Wait, Stay, Release, Heel, etc.
  • Manners: Jumping, Leave It, No Bite, etc.
  • PK Exclusive: Off-leash Free Play with other puppies

Requirements
  • Under 5 months old at the start of class
  • Bordetella (aka "Kennel Cough") Vaccination (proof required before signing up)
  • Fecal Test w/Negative Results (proof required before signing up)
  • DHPP Vaccination, kept up to date throughout the class (proof required before signing up)
  • Rabies Vaccination at 16+ wks old (proof required before signing up, except underage puppies)
  • No communicable diseases (kennel cough, fleas, etc.)
